Common Questions
Is BioUView FDA-cleared?
BioUView is currently in the regulatory clearance process. The 405nm fluorescence detection methodology is validated in peer-reviewed literature (PMC8303189, PMC7996852). Contact us for the current regulatory status and timeline.
How does sterilization work for the articulating probe?
The probe is designed for high-level disinfection compatible with standard dental infection control protocols. Sterilization validation data is available upon request for the articulating joint assembly.
What training is required?
All tiers include a 2-hour virtual certification covering probe handling, fluorescence interpretation, and the See · Treat · See workflow. Hygienists and dentists complete the same certification. Enterprise customers receive on-site training.
Can I upgrade my tier later?
Yes. All tiers are designed for modular upgrade. Lite users can add the side-view camera and patient display module at any time. Contact your account manager for upgrade pricing.
Does BioUView integrate with my practice management software?
BioUView captures video and still images that can be exported as standard JPEG/MP4 files and attached to patient records in any practice management system. Native integrations with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Curve are on the product roadmap.
